P3 unit 34

Area in the Privacy Policy Page of Amazon.co.uk, showing they comply with the Data Protection Act

Security risks include: Viruses, Hacking, and Identity theft.
For example, Identity Theft is where someone of less than clandestine manners hacks into your account, be it email, Amazon, or bank account, and uses it for less than clandestine things, like spreading viruses to friends and family, stealing their identities, and hacking into their accounts.

An example of Identity theft(Not actually this easy)

Thief: Hey, can I have your Email address and password?
Fool: Sure!
Thief: Thanks!

Examples of protection from said risks include: Secure Socket Layers, firewalls, and a strong password, AKA not something with 5 letters like Hoers, more like something like Troubled Horse, I’d also recommend placing numbers in passwords, but not like this: H0e47, as it is hard to remember..
